The traditional nut body style also known as the American Standard or "regular" hex, Finished Hex Security Locknuts are designated by an "H" at the beginning of the part number. This version of the Security Locknut is sufficient for most applications. Fine thread Security Locknuts are mainly produced in the Finished Hex style.

They are generally available from stock in Grade 5 equivalents, Course (UNC) and Fine (UNF) thread sizes 3/8" - 2" Full or Jam/Thin patterns as well as in special custom styles which are thinner in height and have flush or recess mounted inserts.
