The Security Locknut is our lifetime locking product, and we describe it in three words: simple, strong, and safe. The most important part of that promise is the patented spring steel lock ring at the heart of the design. This lock ring allows the assembly to be reused rather than thrown away, and it isolates vibration between the load and the nut.
In practical terms, that is what keeps our product on the bolt under heavy vibration, the exact conditions where ordinary fasteners quietly work themselves loose. It’s a small feature with an outsized job, and it is the reason customers keep coming back.
Applications Where Failure Is Not an Option
We sell to railroads, mines, manufacturers of material-handling, crushing, and pulverizing equipment, and other industries that cannot afford failure. Most of our products focus on mission-critical bolted joints, including track work that holds a railroad together, high-intensity vibration applications, SAG mills that crush and grind rock in gold mining, and the spinning cutter blades inside wood chippers.
When one of those joints lets go, the outcome is not an inconvenience: someone can be hurt, or an entire process can shut down. That reality underlies every nut we ship, and it is why “good enough” has never been part of our vocabulary.

Alongside that, we maintain a single, deliberate focus on providing bolted joint solutions for our customers. We are not trying to be everything to everyone. We are trying to be the most trusted answer for joints that cannot come apart.
We Used the Slowdown to Get Sharper
Continuous improvement is not a slogan here; it’s how we operate. During the slowdown that arrived with COVID, we treated the quieter stretch as an opportunity and blitzed through our improvement list.
One of the biggest changes was moving beyond floor inspections alone. We added CMM inspections so that everything is measured on a coordinate measuring machine on a regular basis to augment the checks our people already perform on the floor. That lets us track not only the problems we have today but also the trends behind them, so we can fix issues before they ever reach a customer.
Concentricity & Cycle Time
We ran two focused projects during that push. In the project on concentricity, we went through every department, recalibrated all of our equipment, and put a process in place to keep doing it continuously. Concentricity matters a great deal for a locking fastener, so that was time very well spent.
During the project cycle time, we examined each department and asked how we could do the work faster and more consistently every day. It paid off. We shipped more than 25 percent more product during this time than in any previous twelve-month period, which let us keep up with higher demand without cutting a single corner.

The philosophy behind all of this is simple: beyond our daily tasks, everything else we do is about improving our operations across the board. Every day, we aim to get a little better; every month, we measure; and every year, we celebrate the results.
